The Costa Brava — the 'wild coast' — runs 200 km northeast of Barcelona: crystalline coves (calas), medieval villages like Tossa de Mar with its fortified Vila Vella, the Michelin-starred dining scene around Palamós and Palafrugell, and Salvador Dalí's home turf around Cadaqués. Tossa de Mar, the closest major resort, is about 95 km from the airport.
Reaching the smaller coves and villages by public transport from the airport involves at least two changes and can take 3+ hours. A private transfer is the only realistic door-to-door option for families with luggage, and our chauffeurs know the coastal roads intimately.
